Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
Z Detailing
1. Booking Deposits
A 30% deposit is required to secure a booking with Z Detailing. The remaining balance is payable once the agreed service has been completed.
The deposit helps secure your appointment and allows us to plan our time and prepare for the work required.
Deposits are subject to the cancellation and refund terms below and any statutory rights that apply.
2. Cancelling an Appointment
We ask customers to provide at least 48 hours' notice if they need to cancel an appointment.
Please contact Z Detailing as soon as possible if your plans change.
Where sufficient notice is provided, the deposit will normally be refunded or transferred to a rescheduled appointment, subject to any applicable legal requirements and the circumstances of the booking.
3. Late Cancellations
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may result in a reasonable cancellation charge where permitted by law.
Any charge will reflect the circumstances of the cancellation and the reasonable costs or losses incurred by Z Detailing. It will not automatically be the full booking price.
Any deposit retained will be taken into account when calculating an amount due, so that customers are not charged twice for the same loss.
Cancellation charges will not be applied where doing so would conflict with statutory rights or applicable consumer law.
4. Rescheduling
We understand that circumstances can change.
Customers should provide at least 48 hours' notice when requesting to reschedule. We will make reasonable efforts to arrange an alternative appointment, subject to availability.
Where an appointment is rescheduled in good time, the existing deposit can normally be transferred to the new booking.
Repeated rescheduling or requests made at short notice will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
5. Failure to Attend
If a customer fails to attend an appointment or does not make the vehicle available at the agreed time, we may treat this as a late cancellation.
Any charge will be reasonable and proportionate to the loss incurred, taking account of the circumstances and any applicable legal rights.
6. If Z Detailing Needs to Cancel
If we need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we will notify the customer as soon as reasonably possible.
Customers will be offered an alternative appointment where available or a refund of any payment for services that will not be provided.
7. Statutory Cancellation Rights
Customers booking online, by telephone or away from business premises may have a statutory 14-day cancellation period under UK consumer law.
This statutory period is separate from our usual 48-hour notice request.
Where the customer requests that work begins during the statutory cancellation period, charges for work already performed will only be made where the legal requirements for doing so have been met.
Where a service is fully completed during that period, the right to cancel may be lost only where the customer has provided the legally required express consent and acknowledgement.
Nothing in this policy removes or restricts any statutory rights.
8. Refunds
Where a refund is due, it will be processed within the timeframe required by applicable law and, where possible, using the original payment method.
The amount refunded will depend on the circumstances, the work already performed and the customer's legal rights.
9. Contact
For cancellations or rescheduling requests, please contact Z Detailing using the contact methods provided on our website.
