Terms & Conditions
Z Detailing
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Z Detailing, including deep cleaning, machine polishing, paint correction and ceramic coating.
By booking a service with Z Detailing, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before confirming your appointment.
These terms apply to both private customers and business customers, with additional consumer protections applying where required by law.
2. Our Services
Z Detailing provides vehicle detailing and paintwork enhancement services designed to improve the appearance, cleanliness and protection of vehicles.
The exact services provided will depend on the package selected and the condition of the vehicle.
Results may vary depending on the vehicle's age, paintwork condition, previous repairs, contamination and general wear. We cannot guarantee that every scratch, mark, stain or imperfection will be removed.
Machine polishing can reduce the appearance of suitable paintwork defects, but some imperfections may remain to preserve the integrity of the paint.
Ceramic coating performance and durability depend on the product used, preparation, vehicle use, maintenance and environmental conditions.
3. Booking and Deposits
A 30% deposit is required to secure a booking, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The remaining balance is payable when the agreed service has been completed.
Deposits will be handled in accordance with the cancellation and refund policy below and any applicable statutory rights.
A booking is confirmed once the appointment details and required deposit have been agreed and received.
Customers must provide accurate information about their vehicle and the service required when making a booking.
4. Pricing and Additional Work
Prices are based on the information provided at the time of booking and the expected condition of the vehicle.
If the vehicle requires additional work because of its condition, size, contamination or previous treatment, Z Detailing will explain any additional costs before proceeding.
No additional charge will be made for extra work without the customer's agreement.
5. Vehicle Preparation and Customer Responsibilities
Customers must ensure that the vehicle is accessible at the agreed appointment time and that any personal belongings, valuables and unnecessary items are removed before work begins.
Customers should inform Z Detailing of any known paintwork defects, previous repairs, existing damage, sensitive finishes or other issues that could affect the service.
Where possible, existing damage will be documented before work begins.
6. Existing Damage and Results
Z Detailing takes reasonable care when working on every vehicle.
However, detailing cannot reverse all forms of damage or wear. Existing scratches, stone chips, damaged paint, failing lacquer, permanent staining and previous poor-quality repairs may limit the results achievable.
Any concerns about the condition of the vehicle that could affect the service will be discussed with the customer where reasonably possible.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for damage caused by negligence or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
7. Payment
The remaining balance must be paid upon completion of the agreed service.
Any additional work or costs must be agreed before they are carried out.
If payment is not made when due, Z Detailing reserves the right to pursue payment through lawful means.
8. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Customers should provide at least 48 hours' notice when cancelling or requesting to reschedule an appointment.
Any cancellation charges, deposit deductions or refunds will be handled in accordance with the separate Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy and applicable consumer law.
Statutory cancellation rights take priority over any conflicting provision in these terms.
9. Aftercare
Customers are responsible for following any aftercare guidance provided following machine polishing, ceramic coating or deep cleaning.
For ceramic-coated vehicles, appropriate washing and maintenance are important for maintaining the coating's performance.
Z Detailing cannot guarantee a particular lifespan or finish where this is affected by factors outside its reasonable control, including misuse, neglect, environmental damage or unsuitable cleaning products.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with a service, please contact Z Detailing promptly and explain the issue.
Where appropriate, we may inspect the vehicle and discuss a reasonable solution.
Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights or remedies.
11. Consumer Rights
Where a customer is acting as a consumer, these terms do not affect their rights under applicable UK consumer protection legislation.
Where services are booked online, by telephone or away from business premises, statutory cancellation rights may apply.
Customers who request that work begins during a statutory cancellation period may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services already performed where the law permits. Different rules apply if the service is fully completed following the customer's legally valid express request and acknowledgement.
12. Changes to These Terms
Z Detailing may update these terms from time to time. The terms applicable to an existing booking will not be changed retrospectively in a way that unlawfully disadvantages the customer.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply.
